We are a multidisciplinary team of music lovers and next of kin of people with dementia.
Our users have been involved since the very beginning.
For the past two years, we have worked closely with people living with dementia, their next of kin and care professionals to understand their real needs. Through over 350+ interviews, user tests and visits, we test the speaker, musical experience, onboarding and care tools in the contexts where they will actually be used.
Their experiences, feedback and everyday realities shape everything Ode is and builds.

We actively seek out feedback, observe how Ode is used in everyday situations and listen to the people around it. What we learn feeds directly back into how we design the product, the software and the experience around them.
What we learn goes back into the next version of Ode.
Those building Ode
We have a complementary combination of experience in business development, engineering, medical design, and finance.
The Ode team shares a deep curiosity for music, health technology, and how these two can be combined to improve the lives of people living with dementia.

Integrity
We believe in keeping promises, real claims and honesty; whether it is our technology, privacy policy or the humans building Ode.
Caring
We design and develop around the dignity of people with dementia, and the realities of those who care for them.
Ambitious
We believe all people with dementia should have access to person-centred care through music, in Norway and beyond.
Curious
We will not stop learning. We keep listening, testing and seeking feedback and knowledge from users, healthcare and the world around us.
